First Signals

Evan originated a innovation campaign for the Hawai'i Island waste management system. He developed and implemented a mobile, micro cardboard cycling operation, orchestrated systemic investment in regional capacity and infrastructure, and supported community development. He personally led the recycling of 24,000 lbs of cardboard.

Most recently, Evan served as the Product Lead at Symbrosia, a pioneering asparagopsis facility, and led the development of a unique, macroalgae biorefinery. He developed the knowledge management processes and systems to create organizational continuity, managed the scaling of the processing facility and developed adjacent, unique revenue streams at their First-of-a-Kind facility. 

Additionally, Evan worked with the Gigatonne Challenge to convene a carbon abatement team, develop international coaching support, and manage the development of a environmental monitoring system for their carbon market strategy. Evan's team of 5 led a rapid response effort to abate over 100 tons of emissions and distribute benefits to 100 families within 4 months. 

Finally, Evan has also served as the co-founder of Paka Products, the only Native-Hawaiian led cannabis brand in California's medical market. Evan co-developed a cultivation system which cut water usage by 95% and energy usage by 45% in a comparable facility. He also led the integration of Hawaiian perspectives in the company's legal foundations.
